Central Lakes College Art Gallery is hosting "Atrophy of Reality," a multidisciplinary exhibition created and curated by Studio Arts Instructor Casey Hochhalter. The show features an artist lecture on April 17 at the Brainerd campus, followed by an opening reception where Hochhalter will discuss his creative process and research into art philosophy and metacognition.
The exhibition serves as a platform to raise awareness about neurodivergence and the complexities of mental health. By moving away from representational art and embracing abstraction, Hochhalter encourages viewers to engage in a metacognitive experience that challenges their perception of reality and celebrates the vastness of human imagination.
