An unprecedented exhibition titled “HERE” has opened at the Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv, bringing together three prominent Ukrainian artists for the first time in a single museum space. The show features twelve sculptures by Vasyl Yarych, seven sculptures by Oleksandr Dyachenko, and more than ten large-scale paintings by Oleksandr Babak, including premiere works such as Yarych’s “Adam and Eve” (gypsum, 2026), Dyachenko’s “Pyramid” (bronze, 2025–2026), and Babak’s “Legs” (canvas, acrylic, 2026). The exhibition blends painting and sculpture across various materials, marking the first joint project for this trio of artists.
This exhibition matters because it highlights a growing trend in contemporary Ukrainian art toward interdisciplinary collaboration, combining different media and materials within a single presentation. By uniting three major figures who had previously only worked in pairs, the show creates a new dialogue between sculpture and painting, offering audiences a rare opportunity to see their creative directions converge. It also underscores Lviv’s role as a vibrant cultural hub supporting innovative artistic projects.
