Lennoxville Art Group’s annual exhibition and sale opens June 13, with raffle proceeds going to the library

The Lennoxville Art Group will hold its annual Spring Exhibition and Sale on June 13 and 14 at the Amédée-Beaudoin Community Centre in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The two-day event features original paintings, prints, and greeting cards by member artists, along with a raffle for a framed lakeside painting donated by member Helena Lolley Brodie, with all raffle proceeds benefiting the Lennoxville Library. The group, founded in 1992, meets weekly from September to June and this exhibition marks the close of their season.

This event matters because it highlights the role of local community art groups in fostering social connection, supporting public institutions like libraries, and providing accessible art to residents. The Lennoxville Art Group’s long history—including a founding member still active at age 98—demonstrates the enduring value of grassroots arts organizations in small communities. The exhibition also serves as a fundraiser and a welcoming entry point for new members, reinforcing the cultural and social fabric of Lennoxville.
