The itinerant exhibition organized by the Italian art galleries consortium moves to Genoa for 2027

La mostra diffusa organizzata dal consorzio delle gallerie d’arte italiane si sposta a Genova per il 2027

The sixth edition of Panorama, the itinerant exhibition organized by the ITALICS consortium of Italian art galleries, will take place in Genoa in June 2027, moving from its usual late-summer slot to early summer. Art historian Arturo Galansino, director of Florence's Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi since 2015, has been appointed curator, succeeding previous curators including Vincenzo de Bellis and Cristiana Perrella. The 2026 edition will be skipped to allow for the shift, which aligns Panorama with the global art calendar and avoids overlap with the Venice Biennale.

This relocation matters because Genoa, a historic port city with a rich cultural heritage, is being positioned as a key node in Liguria's cultural ecosystem. The city's recent proactive cultural stance under mayor Silvia Salis makes it a fitting host for an exhibition that connects art, places, and people. By rescheduling to June, Panorama aims to strengthen its international profile and attract broader audiences and professionals, signaling a strategic evolution for the project.
