New art gallery and brewery opening at Columbia Gardens in Kennewick

The Port of Kennewick is hosting a grand opening for two new businesses at Columbia Gardens Artisan Village on June 17, 2026. Brandi Dayton Art, an art studio offering private classes in oil painting, watercolor, and mixed media, and Wheat Head on the Water, a beer bar with indoor and patio seating, will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by public access at noon. The event includes complimentary food and mementos, and both businesses are located near the Food Truck Plaza, Duffy’s Pond, and a city-owned walking path.

This opening marks the first art-focused business at Columbia Gardens, signaling a diversification of the artisan village's offerings beyond food and beverage. The addition of Brandi Dayton Art enhances the cultural and creative dimension of the Port of Kennewick's project, which aims to build a vibrant destination neighborhood with waterfront walks, tasting rooms, and boutique shops. The event underscores local economic development and community engagement through art and hospitality.
