Manayunk Arts Festival returns with 300 artists, live art battles, pop-ups and more

The Manayunk Arts Festival returns for its 37th year on June 27-28, 2026, along Main Street in Philadelphia. The free outdoor juried event features around 300 local and nationally recognized artists and craftspeople, along with food vendors, live art demonstrations, and interactive experiences. New additions include an Emerging Artists Tent, student art sales from Baby Face Studios, and the Funk Shop pop-up by Lucky's Last Chance. Highlights include a live art competition called Carrera's "Paint My Ride" Tour, where artists Jenna Morello and Alloyius McIlwaine will transform a vintage Carrera vehicle, and hands-on activities led by local artist Aaron Birk. Manayunk-based figurative painter Ryanne Bonde is the featured artist, with her work appearing on festival posters and marketing materials.

This festival matters because it is the tri-state area's largest outdoor juried arts experience, attracting over 100,000 collectors, buyers, designers, and art enthusiasts annually. By introducing fresh programming aimed at younger audiences and emerging talent, the event helps sustain the local creative economy and provides a platform for up-and-coming artists to gain visibility. The festival also contributes to community engagement through public artmaking, a commemorative ceramic vessel project, and partnerships with local businesses and sponsors, reinforcing Manayunk's identity as a cultural destination.
