Chuck Sperry unveils his Archetypes in a free exhibition at the Art Generation gallery — our photos

Chuck Sperry, the American artist known for his concert posters for The Rolling Stones, U2, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, and Pearl Jam, presents a free solo exhibition titled "Archetypes" at the Art Generation gallery in Paris. Running from June 13 to August 1, 2026, the show features around forty works including screen prints on paper and wood panels, personal archives, and collector cards, focusing on female figures, goddesses, and mythic allegories such as Danaids, Courage, Love, the Bacchae, Freedom, and Athena.

The exhibition matters because it offers free public access to a prominent contemporary artist whose silkscreen style has gained international recognition through music poster art. By centering on symbolic female archetypes and themes of beauty, life, and fundamental human values, Sperry uses his distinctive visual language to deliver an engaged, optimistic message to a broad audience. The show also highlights the Art Generation gallery's role in bringing accessible, high-profile contemporary art to Paris.
