Tang Contemporary Art in Bangkok is presenting "A Lifetime Between Realities", a solo exhibition by 85-year-old Thai artist Bundit Padungvichean, running until July 19. The show is his first major exhibition in 15 years, since his celebrated retrospective in 2011, and features works created over the past decade that explore themes of human relationships, social change, memory, and the coexistence of beauty and hardship.
The exhibition matters because it offers a rare opportunity to reassess the legacy of a key figure in modern Thai art, who has also shaped generations as an educator. In an art world increasingly driven by rapid trends, Bundit's reflective, deeply human paintings invite slower engagement and reaffirm his role as a bridge between tradition and contemporary practice in Thailand.
