Parisian art dealer Kamel Mennour has acquired the historic Galerie Malingue, taking over its prestigious 4,300-square-foot showroom on Avenue Matignon. The purchase represents a generational shift, with the younger dealer assuming control of a space founded over fifty years ago by Daniel Malingue, known for its focus on Impressionist, Surrealist, and modern masters.
The acquisition signals Mennour's strategic expansion and deepening commitment to historical art markets. It allows his gallery, established in 1999 and known for contemporary artists, to significantly bolster its secondary market activity by presenting museum-quality modern, postwar, and contemporary works from private collections, thereby bridging generational dialogues within art history.
