Bluffton High School student Lizzy Suter has been named a finalist in the 2026 Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition in Columbus, Ohio. Her winning entry is a photograph featuring a painted figure in a white-tinted bath, created in the distinct trompe l'oeil style of artist Alexa Meade with additional digital color effects.
This achievement highlights the competitive nature of regional youth arts programming, as Suter’s work was chosen from a massive pool of 5,786 entries from high school students across the state. Such exhibitions serve as critical platforms for emerging talent, providing young artists with institutional recognition and exposure at the state level.
