Fine wood artist and luthier Will Nash is launching Nashwood Gallery in the Makers District of Bend, Oregon. The new space, located adjacent to Nash’s existing workshop, debuts during the city's First Friday event with a group exhibition featuring painters, jewelers, and potters. Many of the participating artists were previously associated with the Red Chair Gallery, which recently closed its doors.
The opening of Nashwood Gallery represents a grassroots effort to maintain a local art presence following the loss of established community venues. By transitioning from a workshop-only model to a public-facing gallery, Nash and his collaborators are creating a new hub for regional craft and fine art, ensuring that local creators have a dedicated space to exhibit and sell their work within the community.
