Local Artists Asked to Share Montgomery’s Story for Black History Month

The Montgomery County Probate Court is organizing a Black History Month art exhibition titled 'Through the Artist’s Eye: Montgomery’s Black History.' The call is open to local artists to submit original works that celebrate the area's Black history, with selected pieces to be displayed at the Juliette Hampton Morgan Memorial Library from February 13 to 28, 2026.

This initiative matters as it provides a platform for community-based visual storytelling, directly engaging local artists in interpreting and preserving regional history. It represents a public institutional effort to foster cultural dialogue and connect historical narratives with contemporary artistic expression during a nationally significant commemorative month.
