Hong Kong has secured a new five-year agreement to remain the exclusive host city for Art Basel Hong Kong. The deal, announced by Culture Secretary Rosanna Law, commits to expanding the fair's scale and impact, with potential satellite events at the new Kai Tak Sports Park and a continued base at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The renewal solidifies the fair's status as a cornerstone of Hong Kong's cultural calendar and a major economic and tourism driver, with attendance surpassing 86,000 last year. The partnership will extend beyond the annual March event to include public art education, art market research, and year-round collaborations, aiming to broaden public engagement with art, particularly for students and children.
