Great Pulteney Street Gallery (GPS Gallery) is launching the inaugural edition of Soho Solos, a new exhibition programme developed from last year’s Soho Open in partnership with Parker Harris. Running from 10th–28th June, the show features four solo exhibitions by prize-winning artists Mandy Hudson, James Robert Morrison, Conor Quinn, and Alice Sheppard Fidler, each presenting new work that explores themes from queer memory and car-crash eroticism to the transformation of everyday objects.

“Related Stories”—A Visual Dialogue On Memory And Experience

A new contemporary art exhibition titled “Related Stories” opens today at the Museum of Folk Art and Tradition “Angeliki Hatzimichali” in Athens’ Plaka district, running from May 22 to July 12, 2026. Curated by Stavroula Pisimisi, the show brings together three Greek artists—Eleftheria Kousiaki, Kostas Nikakis, and Efi Tsoulouchopoulou—whose works span photography, graphite drawings, ink on fabric, polyptychs, artist books, paintings, and ceramic objects, creating a multilayered dialogue on materiality, gesture, memory, and transformation.

Understanding human emotions through art

An exhibition titled “Seri: Woman Perspective – Voice of Our Time” at 22Hale Street Heritage Gallery in Ipoh, Perak, brings together 10 women artists showcasing 24 paintings and six ceramic- and clay-based sculptural works. The show explores the psychology of art, emotional expression, identity, and social reflection. MD Parashar, a painter and wildlife photographer, is bringing his unique soot art exhibition 'Whispers of the Wild' to Bengaluru after nearly 26 years. The exhibition, curated by Artenblu in collaboration with Martial Motors Volvo, showcases his technique of using domestic lampblack (soot) and a crumpled newspaper as a nib to create artworks inspired by Ranthambore's wildlife. Parashar discovered the medium while cleaning a kerosene lamp, finding that the soot produced 10 to 12 shades of black and white.

Vietnamese, Indonesian artists explore memory, identity in Ho Chi Minh City exhibition

The 'Memory, Nature, Identity' contemporary art exhibition opened at Lotus Van Art & Community Hub in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, running through June 5, 2026. A new open call for artists and architects under 35 has been launched in Rome, inviting proposals for a public artwork in dialogue with the iconic Gazometro (gasometer) in the Ostiense district. The initiative is promoted by Spazio Taverna in collaboration with Eni and ROAD – Rome Advanced District, and was announced on May 21 during the event "ON THE ROAD – Distretti di Innovazione." Participants are asked to design a monument, pavilion, or installation that engages with the former industrial complex, now a creative hub hosting the cultural program Arte al Gazometro since 2024. A jury including Marco Bassan, Ludovico Pratesi, Mattia Voltaggio, Claudio Quaternato, and Lorenza Baroncelli will select the winner, who will receive a €3,000 prize; the ten finalists will be published on Artribune and gain access to a Masterclass at the School of Vision. Submissions are open from May 21 to July 31, 2026, with results announced in September.

The Newest Billings Farm Exhibition Turns Barns Into Outdoor Gallery

Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, Vermont, has opened a new season of its “Art on the Barns” exhibition featuring work by New Hampshire artist Gail Rickards. The outdoor installation transforms the museum’s historic barns and farm buildings into a large-scale contemporary art display, with agricultural-themed works adapted into painted cut aluminum and PVC foam. Featured pieces include “TROPHY ROOM,” “SILOS,” “ICEHOUSE,” and “QUILT BARN,” and additional paintings by Rickards are shown inside the Visitor Center. An artist reception is scheduled for May 28, 2025.

Japan's Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko visited a special exhibition at Kokugakuin University Museum in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward, celebrating the 160th anniversary of Japan-Belgium diplomatic relations.
