Loveland artist brings colorful, bold florals to new Fort Collins gallery exhibit

Loveland artist Annie O'Brien Gonzales, who specializes in bold, colorful floral paintings, is featured in 'The Bright Side' exhibition at The Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. The show, which runs until June 12, includes her expressive acrylic and mixed-media works alongside pieces by Laura Merage, Tricia Soderberg, and Randall Steinke. O'Brien Gonzales, a former labor and delivery nurse and medical professor who became a full-time artist in 2004, will also teach a floral still life workshop at The Gardens on Spring Creek on May 31.

Double Take: Recurrent Dialogues in the Art of Herbert Bayer

The Resnick Center for Herbert Bayer Studies in Aspen, Colorado, is opening a new exhibition titled "Double Take: Recurrent Dialogues in the Art of Herbert Bayer" on June 12, 2026. The show features over 70 works by Bayer, many rarely seen, on loan from the Denver Art Museum, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and the George Eastman Museum. The exhibition pairs and clusters Bayer's works to explore the interdependency of mediums across his career, from 1930s surrealist photomontages to 1970s geometric abstractions.

Jodi Stuart Opening Reception

The Art Base in Basalt, Colorado, opens its fall season with 'Toxic Positivity,' an installation of plastic-formed sculptures by Denver-based artist Jodi Stuart. The exhibition runs from October 2 to November 8, 2024, with an opening reception on October 4 featuring an artist talk. Stuart specializes in a process that combines weaving techniques with plastics, creating objects that are both light and saturated.
