Gordon Cheung: Many Worlds, One Mind

CLOSE Gallery in Somerset presents 'Many Worlds, One Mind', a major survey exhibition of contemporary multi-media artist Gordon Cheung, running from 6 June to 15 August 2026. The show brings together 28 works across sculpture, painting, print and etching, including pieces from Cheung's 'New Order' series, which uses algorithms to reorder pixels from Dutch Golden Age still lifes, and 'Passages of Time', a sculpture incorporating Financial Times stock listings. Cheung's work examines global capitalism, cultural memory, and the intersection of classical art history with digital technology.

New Takao Tanabe exhibit open at Audain Art Museum

A new exhibition titled "Vistas: From Takao Tanabe’s Travels" has opened at the Audain Art Museum in British Columbia, featuring works by Japanese-Canadian artist Takao Tanabe. The show highlights landscapes from his travels across British Columbia, North America, the Arctic, and Europe, translated into paintings that blend observation with poetic reflection. Curated by Kiriko Watanabe, the exhibition runs until Sept. 21 and coincides with Tanabe’s upcoming 100th birthday on Sept. 16, as well as a related exhibition "Takao Tanabe: Inside Passage" opening June 13.

The Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester is presenting a series of summer exhibitions running from late May through July 2026. Featured shows include "Photosynthesis XXI," a collaboration between Burlington and Winchester high schools; "Atelier 40," showcasing emerging and advanced photographers from a year-long portfolio course; "Caleb Cain Marcus: A Thousand Rectangles: On Design and the Expression of Art"; "Cassidy Thurber: I Want the Sun to Shine Down on You," the winner of the 2025 Carolyn Harder Scholarship; the 16th Annual Photobook Exhibition; a Handmade Photobook show; and "Visionary." A satellite location at Griffin Museum @WinCam will host Ellen Feldman's "WE PROTEST" from June 16 to September 1.
