"The Great Camouflage" Rockbund Museum of Art / Shanghai

"The Great Camouflage" at the Rockbund Museum of Art (RAM) in Shanghai, curated by X Zhu-Nowell and Kandis Williams, is a multilevel exhibition that responds to global political and social exhaustion. Anchored in Black feminist thought and taking Suzanne Césaire's writings as a starting point, the show revisits revolutionary attitudes and builds new networks of solidarity across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, deliberately decentering Euro-American narratives. It features works by artists including Christine Tien Wang, Hao Jingban, and Wang Tuo, and highlights figures such as Amy Ashwood Garvey, Eslanda Robeson, Shirley Graham Du Bois, and Grace Lee Boggs.

Sandra Poulson, a 30-year-old Angolan artist, has opened her first museum exhibition at MoMA PS1 in New York, titled "Este quarto parece uma República!" ("This bedroom looks like a Republic!"). The show features sculptures that explore how everyday objects carry social and political meaning, including a work critiquing the influence of mega-churches in Angola. Poulson, who splits her time between Luanda, London, and Amsterdam, drew inspiration from her childhood, local furniture practices in Luanda, and colonial-era wood exploitation. The works were initially produced for Condo London and commissioned by Jahmek Contemporary Art.

Praxis Gallery in New York is hosting "Winter Solstice: Seeds of Nothingness," a multidisciplinary exhibition by Argentine artist Edo Costantini in collaboration with Delfina Braun and Delfina Muniz Barreto. The show features photography, sound, moving images, and bronze sculptures that explore the quiet, latent biological processes occurring during the winter season. Based on Costantini’s decade-long observation of the landscapes in Katonah, New York, the works focus on the concept of stillness as an active state of reorganization and persistence.
