San Francisco’s Modern Art Museum Reimagines the Fisher Collection

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) has unveiled a massive reinstallation of the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection, featuring approximately 250 works. David Hockney has unveiled a major exhibition at London’s Serpentine North, featuring the UK debut of his nearly 300-foot-long iPad frieze, 'A Year in Normandie'. British artist Gavin Turk is set to debut a new body of work at Ben Brown Fine Arts in London for his sixth solo exhibition with the gallery, titled "The Escapologist." The exhibition features a series of trompe l’oeil paintings depicting partially open doors set within frames, hung low to create a sculptural, illusionistic effect. Drawing on art historical references ranging from Gerhard Richter’s modernist doors to René Magritte’s surrealist metaphors, the works explore the door as a symbol of the threshold and the psychological tension between anticipation and absence.

ACA Galleries in New York is hosting "Continuum: Over 100 Years of Black Art," an expansive group exhibition running through March 7, 2026. The show features a diverse array of media—including painting, sculpture, textiles, and collage—by more than a dozen pioneering Black artists. Spanning from the 19th century to the present day, the exhibition highlights key figures such as still-life painter Charles Ethan Porter, collagist Romare Bearden, and contemporary textile artist Helen McBride Richter.
