Westminster muralist Grow Love readies to show off work at new exhibition in Colorado Springs

Westminster-based muralist Grow Love (Robyn Frances) will participate in a group exhibition titled "Justice of the Piece: Resistance in Unity in Street Art" at the Galleries of Contemporary Art at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, opening next month. The show features three female muralists: Grow Love, Lady Pink, and Sydney G. James, whose work explores resistance, reclamation, and collective healing through public murals and studio practice. An accompanying arts market will allow local creatives to sell their work for free.

Arts Playlist: Delaware Art Museum's 'Imprinted: Illustrating Race'

Delaware Art Museum Presents Imprinted: Illustrating Race

The Delaware Art Museum (DelArt) will present "Imprinted: Illustrating Race," an exhibition assembled by the Norman Rockwell Museum and co-curated by Robyn Phillips-Pendleton of the University of Delaware. Opening October 18, 2025, the show features over 200 works originally commissioned for newspapers, magazines, books, trade cards, posters, packaging, and advertising, tracing how illustration reflected and shaped perceptions of race in the United States from the 19th century onward. It places Norman Rockwell’s Civil Rights–era images alongside works by artists such as Faith Ringgold, Emory Douglas, Howard Pyle, and Loveis Wise, highlighting both harmful racial stereotypes and the efforts of artists and publishers who used illustration to challenge those narratives.

New Cope House exhibit highlights the art of collecting

William Skeet Jiggetts, a longtime art collector and trustee of several museums, founded the Museum of African American Art Collections (MAAAC) to celebrate Black collectors and display their private holdings. MSU student debuting ant-themed art exhibit

Morehead State University student Josiah Kilburn, a senior biology major from Castle Rock, Colorado, is debuting an ant-themed art exhibition titled “Myrmecoportraiture: Experience the Enchanting World of Ants” at the Golding-Yang Art Gallery. Running from October 6 to 30, the show combines macro photography, live ant colonies, preserved specimens, and interactive multisensory displays, including tactile habitats and distinct ant smells. Kilburn developed the project through his biology studies and photography courses, with mentorship from Associate Professor Dr. Robyn Moore. An artist talk and reception are scheduled for October 22.
