The Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) has launched an experimental art lending program alongside its new exhibition “Letters for the Future,” created with the artist-organized group Department of Transformation. Nine studio arts students from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) have their poster designs featured in the Design Museum of Chicago's 2025 "Great Ideas of Humanity" exhibition. The students—Alfonzo Dave, Nicole Dressel, Olivia Giganti, John Leary, Jestene Passolt, Leila Walker, Dezia Washington, Lucien Weber, and Eddie Young—created the works as part of Professor Garland Kirkpatrick's Typography II course. Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, will open a new art exhibition titled “Jacques Callot and Those Who Came After” on November 19, 2025, in the first-floor gallery of the John Stewart Memorial Library. The show features 18 etchings from Callot’s 1633 series “Les Grandes Misères de la Guerre,” widely regarded as the first anti-war statement in Western art, alongside works by artists he inspired, including Francisco Goya, Otto Dix, and Ernst Barlach. A group of 17 Lawrence-based artists with children have collaborated on a new exhibition titled 'Breeders' at Cider Gallery, opening April 24. Organized by local artist and teacher John Sebelius, the show explores the joys and challenges of parenthood through diverse media, including paintings, collages, and ceramics. A sister show, 'Offspring,' featuring works by the artists' children, will open simultaneously at Seedco Studios.
