The show is part of the gallery’s 'Solo Statement' program, specifically the series 'Doesn't Play Well with Others,' which grants artists total creative autonomy to curate and present their work. The exhibition will feature Ahern's latest abstract compositions and conceptual pieces, focusing on her unique approach to the medium of painting.

Munson celebrates student accomplishments with exhibits

Munson is hosting two juried exhibitions at the Pratt Munson College of Art and Design to showcase the work of its first-year and sophomore students. The First-Year Exhibition, running from April 10 to May 6, highlights foundational skills and interdisciplinary research, while the Sophomore Exhibition, held from April 17 to May 16, features more specialized work across various media. A public reception for both shows is scheduled for April 25 in the Museum’s Root Court.

High School Artists Shine at North Hennepin Community College

North Hennepin Community College is currently hosting the 18th annual Northwestern High School Art Exhibition in Brooklyn Park. The showcase features over 100 diverse works, including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and photography, created by students from 13 regional high schools. Notable entries include a sculpture of a 'Clicker' from the television series "The Last of Us" by student artist Gwyneth Hurley.
