This Chelsea gallery will feature art from students as young as 6

Gallery 100 in Chelsea, Michigan, will host The Creative Corner Collection, an exhibition of children's artwork from the Manitou Beach Creative Corner's camps and workshops, running from April 27 through May 8. The show features work by students ages 6 to 15, with an opening reception on May 3 featuring violinists from the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Gallery 100 takes no commission on sales, so all proceeds go directly to the young artists.

The Springfield Art Museum, closed for over a year for renovations and expansion, is offering guided hard hat tours starting April 25, 2026. Led by Museum Director Nick Nelson and Foundation Executive Director Kate Francis, the free tours require advance registration and safety gear, and will run on select Saturdays through August and Tuesdays through September. The project includes a new special exhibition gallery, collection study room, and a naturalized creek and trail, with a second phase pending city funding.

Eleven new artistic pieces have been added to the Yukon Permanent Art Collection.

The Government of Yukon has added 11 new works to the Yukon Permanent Art Collection (YPAC), featuring artists Eugene Alfred, Misha Donohoe, Basia Hinton, Jane Isakson, Stephanie Luneta-Stevens, Jeneen Frei Njootli, Margret Njootli, Andy Pelletier, Dustin Sheldon, Maria Rose Sikyea, and Michelle Williams. Eight of these artists are represented in the collection for the first time. The pieces were selected from 134 submissions by 64 artists through an annual call for submissions process managed by the Yukon government and the Friends of Yukon Permanent Art Collection. An exhibition of the works is planned for fall 2026, and images are available on Yukon.ca.

Housed in a restored 19th-century horse stable (haras) listed as a historic monument, the 54-million-euro project includes a 450 m² permanent museum, a 332-seat cinema, temporary exhibition spaces, educational workshops, artist residencies, and image-education facilities. The city of Annecy contributes 30 million euros, with additional funding from the Haute-Savoie department, the state, and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Designed by architecture firm dd.a and landscape architect Philippe Deliau, the center aims to be a hybrid, year-round hub for animation, blending heritage, creation, and transmission.

Artist Lynn Rogers shares lifelong love of art as Munson docent
