CSUF student artists capture childhood wonder at biannual ASI art show

Cal State Fullerton recently hosted its biannual Associated Students Inc. (ASI) Art Show at the Titan Student Union Center Gallery, centered on the theme of "Memory and Nostalgia." The exhibition showcased 20 student works spanning traditional oil paintings, digital illustrations, and 3D-printed media. Awards were presented across multiple categories, highlighting pieces such as Michael Butorac’s acrylic painting "Unforgotten Friday’s" and Victor Castaneda’s digital photograph "Becoming."

Newest DeLuce Gallery exhibit explores ‘Art Left Behind’

Northwest Missouri State University has unveiled "Art Left Behind: Exploring Decades of Creativity," an exhibition featuring student artworks discovered in the storage rooms of the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building. Curated by students Brooke Reyes, Jeri Walters, and Sammy Ward, the show presents a selection of prints dating from the late 1960s to the present day. The collection largely consists of works created under the guidance of former professor Phil Laber, ranging from abstract compositions to social and political commentaries.

Remembering the fight for equality: Tuskegee Airmen project enters next chapter at Cleveland History Center

The Cleveland History Center has opened a new exhibition honoring local Tuskegee Airmen, featuring hand-drawn portraits by students from the Cleveland School of the Arts. The exhibition, part of the Cleveland Heroes Project, is displayed at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum and runs through April 30. It highlights airmen with Northeast Ohio roots, including 2nd Lt. Gilbert Cargill, Capt. Erwin Bernard Lawrence Jr., and Cpl. Howard Arthur Tibbs.
