The Night of the Museums will take place in Tampere, Finland, on Saturday, May 16, featuring over 40 exhibitions across multiple venues including the Tampere Art Museum, Sara Hildén Art Museum, Museum Centre Vapriikki, Moomin Museum, Finnish Labour Museum Werstas, and others. Medium Art Center in Ukiah, California, celebrates its five-year anniversary. Founded during the pandemic by a small team of local artists and community members including Chris Pugh and Lillian Rubie, the center began as an online exhibition series called "Dear America" before securing a vacant storefront at the Pear Tree Center in 2021. Run entirely by volunteers for its first three years, the center has hosted in-person exhibits, traditional Chinese brush painting workshops with artist William Shi, and outreach programs to support local artists. Recently, it received a grant from the RISE program administered through Redwood Coast Regional Center to support people with disabilities or neurodivergence.
The Children's Gallery in Tampere, Finland, is presenting two exhibitions this spring. At the Culture House Laikku, schoolchildren from Wivi Lönn School (grades 1, 2, 5, and 7) display imaginative park designs through June 14. Simultaneously, the Lielahti Manor Cultural Centre features babies' art created during Rulla's Colour Immersion course, on view from May 7 to June 2, 2026.
