Cedars Union in Dallas Opens Call for 6th Artist Cohort

The Cedars Union, a nonprofit arts incubator in Dallas, has opened applications for its sixth cohort of artists. The 18-month program offers affordable studio spaces (64–200 sq ft at $1.60/sq ft), 24/7 access to communal workspaces with woodworking, printing, and textile equipment, plus critiques, workshops, lectures, and exhibitions. The jury includes Emily Budd, Thomas Feulmer, Christina Hahn, Ade Omotosho, and Ahava Silkey-Jones. Applications close June 12, 2026, with the cohort running September 1, 2026 to February 29, 2028.

Art House Productions Unveils "In The Wind" Public Art Installation

Art House Productions has unveiled "In The Wind," a large-scale public art installation in Lincoln Park, Jersey City, featuring artist-designed flags with original works by Hudson County artists. Curated by Tina Maneca, the exhibition celebrates the organization's 25th anniversary and includes over 80 artists who live, work, or maintain studios in Hudson County. The flags are installed around Edgewood Lake, moving with the wind to create a dynamic, ever-changing exhibition. All flags are priced at $500 and available for purchase. The installation runs from June through November 2026, with an opening reception on June 5, 2026, during ACCESS JC Fridays.

Thomasville Center for the Arts announces signature early summer events

Thomasville Center for the Arts has announced two signature early summer events. On June 1, the Center will host "A Seat at the Table," a quarterly community dinner featuring welcome drinks, a shared meal in the Main Gallery, and dessert in the Founder's Gallery, with catering by local favorite Woodstack BBQ. On June 4, the opening reception of "200 for 200: The Collective Exhibition" will take place, a juried show featuring 200 works by members of The Collective, honoring Thomas County's bicentennial and the Center's 40th anniversary. The exhibition runs through August 8, 2026, and is guest juried by Amber Moore, Curator at The Arts Center of Moultrie.
