AOY Art Center’s 14th Juried Show set to open

The AOY Art Center in Yardley, Pennsylvania, is launching its 14th annual Juried Show, featuring 137 selected works from over 425 regional submissions. Curated by Amanda C. Burdan of the Brandywine Museum of Art, the exhibition spans various mediums including painting, sculpture, and photography. The show opens April 10 with a public reception and includes specialized honors such as the Frumi Cohen memorial award for wildlife art.

All the new exhibits to see at these 4 Louisville museums

Four Louisville museums have opened new exhibits. The Frazier Kentucky History Museum launched four exhibits as part of its America250 initiative, including 'Pursuit of Happiness,' 'Louisville to Liberty: The Blackburns’ Journey,' 'I Too Am a Kentuckian,' and 'Revolutionary Threads.' The Kentucky Derby Museum added a fashion display from the Hallmark Channel movie 'Kentucky Roses,' featuring costumes worn by actors Andrew Walker and Odette Annable. KMAC Contemporary Art Museum and the Speed Museum are also featuring new art exhibits, including works by female Abstract Expressionists.

‘This is Home’ art exhibit at Gallery Main Street features East Texas artists

A new exhibition titled 'This is Home' has opened at Gallery Main Street in downtown Tyler, Texas. The show, sponsored by the Rose City Art Gallery, features works by East Texas artists exploring themes of home, memory, and belonging through various media including painting and sculpture. It opened on January 9 with a reception and includes a juried award and a People's Choice Award, with voting ongoing until the show closes on March 2.

Leslie Powell Gallery to host three art exhibitions

The Leslie Powell Gallery in Lawton, Oklahoma, will open three art exhibitions on November 15 with a reception from 6-8 p.m. The shows include "Discovery" by Thomas Stotts, featuring landscape works on canvas and wood; "So the Days Pass: Works on Paper" by Christen Humphries, a Cameron University alumna and adjunct professor; and a special exhibition of works by Eisenhower High School students. The exhibits remain on display through December 19.

Art and words unite like yin and yang in Guelph exhibition

Artworks Gallery Guelph is hosting a new exhibition titled “Vision & Verse,” which explores the interplay between visual art and poetry. The show features works by gallery members Patti Collins, Diana Scott, Sharyn Seibert, Deb Stocker, and Suzanne Wakefield, with Katie Elliott-Stoyles as the featured artist. A grand opening is scheduled for Mother's Day, May 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the gallery located at 404 York Road in Guelph.
