Racine Art Museum announces sizzling slate of summer events

The Racine Art Museum (RAM) and its Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts campus have announced a packed schedule of summer events for 2026, including new programs like the Twilight Garden Series, which combines cocktails, creativity, and themed activities. Highlights include Free First Friday, a Master Workshop with artist Liandra Skenandore on black ash plaiting, Kids Day inspired by the Handcrafted exhibition, and City Movie Night featuring a screening of Lilo & Stitch (2025). Wustum also offers one of Wisconsin's largest museum-based studio arts programs with over 60 class options in ceramics, drawing, glass, fiber, jewelry, painting, and paper arts.

Plum Bottom Hosts Outdoor Art Show

Plum Bottom Gallery in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, will host its annual outdoor art show on Memorial Day weekend, May 23–24, 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm. The event features sculpture, glass, painting, jewelry, and mixed media works by a roster of nationally collected artists, with featured artists Sue Pruss, Rose Kleman, and Curtis Hall appearing on Saturday. The gallery has also recently added Wisconsin-based photographer Tommy Nigbor to its artist roster, known for his minimalist landscapes and rural scenes.

Opening reception planned for art exhibit

River Arts on Water Gallery in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, will host a summer exhibition titled "The In Between" featuring three artists: Jessica Gutiérrez (whose work is displayed in the Powder Room Gallery), Rhonda Nass (scratchboard), and Sharon Wright (embroidery). An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with artist talks at 6 p.m. The exhibition runs through August 1, and a 10% discount will be offered on all artwork during the reception. The show will also be available for online viewing.

Furlong Gallery showcases student artists

Furlong Gallery, a venue associated with the University of Wisconsin–Stout, is currently hosting an exhibition that highlights the work of student artists. The show features a range of visual art created by emerging student talents, providing them with a platform to display their creations to the public and campus community.
