Gallery Time & Space brings a vast exhibition to Venkatappa Art Gallery

Gallery Time & Space has unveiled 'Continuum: Artists Across Time and Space' at Venkatappa Art Gallery in Bengaluru, a large-scale exhibition featuring over 50 artists in a group show alongside solo presentations by SG Vasudev and Asit Poddar. The group exhibition explores metaphysical themes of consciousness, light, and love, bridging past and present through diverse mediums including cyanotypes, stoneware ceramics, and oil on canvas. Curator Renu George selected artists from the gallery's roster, highlighting both established and emerging talents.

Coral Springs to Celebrate Haitian Heritage with Art Exhibit, Opening Reception

The Coral Springs Museum of Art will host a free opening reception on Thursday, May 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. for its Haitian Heritage Exhibit, featuring the debut of “Continuum: Heritage & Expression,” the inaugural exhibition of the Haitian Women Fine Art Collective (HAWFA). The event will include remarks from city leaders and artists, a tribute to Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer, light bites, beverages for purchase, and a commemorative ribbon art activity. The exhibition will be on view in the Center for the Arts Lobby Hall Gallery through May 29.

First Nations artists launch UMI Arts season with vibrant double exhibition opening

UMI Arts has officially launched its 2026 exhibition season in Far North Queensland with the opening of two concurrent group exhibitions, "The Summer Show 2026" and "You & Me 2026." The showcase features nearly 60 artworks by 18 First Nations artists, spanning various mediums including painting, ceramics, weaving, and sculpture. The collection highlights the deep connection to Country and cultural resilience of both emerging and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander practitioners.

Leslie Powell Gallery to host three art exhibitions

The Leslie Powell Gallery in Lawton, Oklahoma, will open three art exhibitions on November 15 with a reception from 6-8 p.m. The shows include "Discovery" by Thomas Stotts, featuring landscape works on canvas and wood; "So the Days Pass: Works on Paper" by Christen Humphries, a Cameron University alumna and adjunct professor; and a special exhibition of works by Eisenhower High School students. The exhibits remain on display through December 19.

Art show reflects on human experience, aspiration

A group of nine young artists, all alumni of the Government College of Fine Arts in Chennai, have formed a collective called Continuum and will present their first exhibition, 'Between Becoming & Being,' starting May 15 at Lalit Kala Akademi. Initiated by artist couple Preethi Umapathy and Prithiviraj, the show features works in painting, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics by Deepika, Ganesh, Jagath Ravi, Padmapriya, Prithiviraj, Preethi, Ramesh, Saran Mathi, and Sarath Kumar, exploring themes of identity, aspiration, human existence, and lived experiences.

Mainstreaming abstract art

Twenty-six Nepali abstract artists are exhibiting together for the first time at Taragaon Next in Kathmandu in a group show titled 'Forms of Abstraction'. The exhibition, curated by Roshan Mishra, features works by artists including Kiran Manandhar, Sangee Shrestha, Sushma Rajbhandari, Bidhata KC, NB Gurung, Jeevan Rajopadhyay, Laya Mainali, and Nabendra Limbu, among others. Supported by the Saraf Foundation for Himalayan Traditions and Culture, the show explores themes of motion, emotion, nature, architecture, geometry, and culture, emphasizing how Nepali abstraction transforms rather than abandons tradition.
