Highlanes Gallery opens 2026 with first solo exhibition by emerging artist James Moonan

Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda, Ireland, has opened its first exhibition of 2026 with 'Once Upon a Page', the debut solo show by emerging artist James Moonan. The exhibition features award-winning recent works alongside pieces Moonan created throughout his childhood, tracing his artistic journey. Moonan, a young creative with autism, has received national recognition in the Credit Union Art Competition. The opening was attended by the Mayor of Drogheda Michelle Hall, gallery director Aoife Ruane, representatives from Drogheda Credit Union, and members of the local community.

Local Artists Asked to Share Montgomery’s Story for Black History Month

The Montgomery County Probate Court is organizing a Black History Month art exhibition titled 'Through the Artist’s Eye: Montgomery’s Black History.' The call is open to local artists to submit original works that celebrate the area's Black history, with selected pieces to be displayed at the Juliette Hampton Morgan Memorial Library from February 13 to 28, 2026.

Montreal studio for neurodiverse artists to hold June exhibit

A Montreal art program for neurodiverse adults, called Art Seen, is preparing for an exhibition at the McClure Gallery from June 12 to 22, 2025. The program, run in partnership between the Visual Arts Centre and the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) at the Wagar Adult Education Centre, provides studio space and training in painting, printing, cartooning, and collage. Students like Victoria McIntosh, Matthew Brotherwood, Lisa Potter, Juliette Plamondon, and Jonathan Pepin are creating works for the show, which includes a theme titled 'the reconstructed' that involves repurposing old art history books to assert their place in the narrative.
