Tableau Exhibition Marks the 130th Anniversary of the Opening of Hall of Art

The Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA) and the Hall of Art (Műcsarnok) have opened an outdoor panel exhibition in front of the Műcsarnok building on Bajza Street to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the institution's opening. Designed by Albert Schickedanz, the building was completed in 1896 for the Millennium alongside Heroes' Square and the Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition, which will be on view until November 22, looks back on the Műcsarnok's 130-year history, and a fall anniversary exhibition is also planned.

Inspiration Space in Bangkok presents "Ganesha," a dual-artist exhibition running from 9 May to 5 July 2026, curated by Kullaya Kassakul. The show features paintings by Piya Charoenmuang, who created thousands of Ganesha works daily during the COVID-19 lockdown (2021–2024), exploring faith, success, and imperfection through mixed media and texture. It also includes a ceramic Ganesha sculpture by Yonkwan Thanyaset (Paint), fired at high temperatures and repaired with Kintsugi, highlighting cracks as beauty. The exhibition unfolds in two phases: Piya's paintings from 9 May, with the full ceramic installation joining from 6 June.

WaterFire Arts Center Unveils Immersive Summer Exhibitions in Providence

The WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, is launching two large-scale summer exhibitions in its 15,000-square-foot Main Hall. From June 9–12, artist Yuval Gur presents "RIFT: A Sonic Environment for Multi-Timescale Listening," an immersive sound installation using environmental recordings from Iceland that transforms sound into a physical, felt experience. From July 2 through August 30, the group show "America, Unfinished?!" features artists from Rhode Island and across the country, selected via open call, exploring themes of labor, migration, memory, and civic life through interactive installations and mixed media, with live performances on Thursday evenings.

An exhibition titled 'Our History Living in Stitches' has opened at the Azerbaijan National Art Museum, dedicated to the Goycha and Garagoyunlu regions of Western Azerbaijan. The show features carpets woven by Azerbaijani women from those areas, preserved as treasured belongings during deportations between 1987 and 1991 and brought to Azerbaijan. The opening ceremony included speeches by museum director Shirin Malikova, community leaders, and a member of parliament, alongside musical performances by the 'Khazri' dance ensemble.
