Local artists bring festive culture to Limerick city centre

Guernsey Arts Open a growing showcase of local talent

Guernsey Arts has launched its sixth annual Guernsey Arts Open exhibition at the George Crossan Gallery, featuring a record 132 artworks from local artists of all skill levels. Marae to host Pātaka Ora auction

Juvenile Triceratops to hit Phillips’ auction blocks this November

Phillips auction house will debut a new category called "Out of This World" within its Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale on November 18 in New York, headlined by "Cera," a 66-million-year-old juvenile Triceratops skeleton. The specimen, excavated in 2016 from South Dakota's Hell Creek Formation, is the first full juvenile Triceratops ever discovered and the first Triceratops of any kind to appear at a U.S. auction in over a decade, with an estimate of up to $3.5 million. The sale also includes other natural-history rarities such as a large gold nugget and a fossilized marine reptile.

Artist co-op in Olde Town Arvada in need of new space to continue showcasing local artwork

Burd's Nest Art Gallery, an artist co-op in Olde Town Arvada, Colorado, opened in February 2024 with about 35 local artists showcasing ceramics, fused glass, jewelry, and other artwork. Owner Judi Mitchell realized a lifelong dream by creating the co-op, but the building will soon become a restaurant, forcing the gallery to find a new affordable space or temporarily close. Mitchell has been unable to find a suitable replacement location and may have only a month or two left in the current space.

Gallery: Winners revealed at EKA high school student art show opening

The winners of the "Useful Art?! Humanity and Work" high school art competition, organized by the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) Faculty of Fine Arts, were announced at an exhibition opening in Tallinn.
