San Francisco's waste management company Recology is celebrating 35 years of its Artist-in-Residence program with a free retrospective exhibition featuring artworks made from recycled garbage. The show, held at the Minnesota Street Project in collaboration with Recology, includes pieces by 63 artists who have scavenged materials from the company's 47-acre recycling center since 1990. Notable works include Nemo Gould's 'Impala' sculpture, made from scavenged antlers, power tools, and household items. The exhibition runs through August 30, 2025, and a traveling version called 'Reclaimed: The Art of Recology' is touring the country.
Paris Gallery Weekend 2026 returns for its 14th edition from May 29th to 31st, organized by the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art. The event features 73 galleries across the Marais and other districts, offering three days of programming with must-see exhibitions during the city's vibrant late spring season.
The exhibition "Plenty more" has opened at the Cherry Hill gallery in Cologne, featuring works by artists Asta Lynge, Jakob Ohrt, and Eleanor Ivory Weber. The show is a reinterpretation of their previous 2024 exhibition "Plenty," held at Astrid Noacks Atelier in Copenhagen, with the curatorial decision to remove or reinterpret existing works rather than add new ones. The 22nd annual Juried Art Exhibition opened at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts on Saturday, featuring over 150 submissions from local artists. Juror Lisa Hirmer announced awards including first place (Jill Summerhayes award) to Melissa Rempel, second to Dianne McBride, third to Bill Praught, and honourable mentions to Vanessa Pejovic, Kathryn Tyrrell, and Sue Sturdy.
