The Artistic Museum of Contemporary Art (AMOCA) is launching its second pop-up exhibition, "Dialogues Wales: New Voices from the Museum Collection," at Cardiff’s Temple of Peace. Running from April 15 to 18, the show highlights women and nonbinary artists from the private collection of co-founder Anders Hedlund, featuring over forty international and local figures including Shani Rhys James, Ewa Juszkiewicz, and Lynda Benglis.
Urban Signature has launched "BON PLAN," a pop-up group exhibition in Paris’s Marais district featuring over 30 street artists. Running from April 9 to April 12, 2026, the show presents nearly 60 original works that use the iconic Paris metro map as a creative canvas. Participating artists, including Louyz, Raf Urban, and Ardif, have produced small-format pieces specifically for this event, which also features a selection of serigraphs for sale in the gallery’s basement.
Artes Mundi has officially opened nominations for its 12th edition, inviting the global art community to propose artists for the prestigious biennial exhibition and prize. Based in Cardiff, Wales, the organization seeks emerging to mid-career artists whose work engages with social reality and the human condition. Nominations are open until May 31, 2026, with the selected winner receiving a substantial prize of £40,000.
The Arts Council of Wales has announced a 19-strong team of early-career artists, curators, and students who will travel to Venice this summer to support Wales' presence at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, running from May 9 to November 22, 2026. As part of the Invigilator+ programme, participants will spend at least one month in Venice acting as ambassadors for the Wales in Venice exhibition, an official collateral event. The exhibition, titled Sownd, is led by artists Manon Awst and Dylan Huw, jointly organized by Oriel Myrddin in Carmarthen and Oriel Davies in Newtown, with Steffan Jones-Hughes as Curator and Catherine Spring as Exhibition Project Director. The invigilators include Lily Tonkin Wells, Robert Oros, Ophelia dos Santos, Grace Springer, Cerian Wilshire Davies, Megan Evans, Howl Hubbard, Temeka Davies, Llyr Evans, Chloe Goodwin, Abby Pouslon, and Niamh O'Dobhain, while student team members come from Cardiff Metropolitan University, University of Wales Trinity St David, Wrexham University, and Aberystwyth University.
