New Art21 Documentary Follows Camille Henrot as She Completes New Work for the New Museum’s Reopening

Art21 has announced the premiere of a new documentary titled "Camille Henrot: In Movement," scheduled for release on April 22, 2026. Directed by Adam Golfer, the film tracks the multidisciplinary artist over the course of a year as she prepares a new body of work, including paintings, bronze sculptures, and a new film titled "In the Veins" (2026). The production follows Henrot from her New York studio to a foundry in Paris, capturing her creative process leading up to a major presentation at the newly reopened New Museum.

Lloyd Le Blanc obituary

Sculptor Lloyd Le Blanc has died at the age of 85. He was known for creating large-scale bronze works of flora and fauna and, with his wife Judith Holmes Drewry, established the Le Blanc Fine Art foundry and studios in Saxby, Leicestershire. Le Blanc was involved in every stage of his sculptures' creation and also cast works for other artists from his foundry.

Artist Kara Walker has transformed a decommissioned monument of Confederate General Stonewall Jackson into a new, grotesque sculpture titled "Unmanned Drone" (2023). After curator Hamza Walker secured the bronze statue from Charlottesville, Virginia, the artist reconfigured its parts at a New York foundry to create a 12-foot horse-man hybrid that subverts traditional heroic iconography. The work is currently the centerpiece of the "Monuments" exhibition at the Brick in Los Angeles, co-presented by MOCA LA.

New art gallery and studio space opens in village near Banbury

Artists Simon Allison and Jane Hamilton are launching Far Far Gallery, a new exhibition and studio space in the village of Cropredy, near Banbury. Housed in a converted barn, the venue expands upon the duo's long-standing work at the nearby Lockbund Foundry and will host a variety of individual and group exhibitions across multiple media.
