New look for Guernsey’s Old Quarter

Art for Guernsey’s Street Art exhibition and summer project ‘Diversion’ is transforming Mill Street in Guernsey’s Old Quarter with vibrant murals and public art. Running from 27 June to 30 August, the project features works by 14 international and 16 local artists, plus contributions from children in the Summer Holiday Art Club. New hospital gallery brings art and wellbeing together

Guernsey Museums and the Health and Social Care Arts and Health Programme have launched the Corridor Gallery at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. This new initiative converts a hospital corridor into a rotating exhibition space featuring high-quality reproductions from the museum's permanent collection. The inaugural exhibition, "Blue Spaces," focuses on the therapeutic relationship between aquatic environments and mental wellbeing, showcasing blue-toned landscapes ranging from abstract to impressionistic styles.

Arts Open – an exhibition growing with every year

The 2025 Arts Open by Guernsey Arts has opened at the George Crossan Gallery in St Peter Port, featuring over 130 artworks from 132 artists. The exhibition includes a wide range of media from oils and acrylics to embroidery and crochet, and drew a large crowd at its private preview event, with queues stretching through the Market Buildings. Organizers Louise Le Pelley and Jared Fox highlighted the inclusive, no-judgment submission process that welcomes both professional artists and first-time exhibitors.

An exhibition and accompanying book explore Victor Hugo's lesser-known role as an interior decorator, focusing on the elaborate interiors he created for his homes in Paris and during his exile on the island of Guernsey. Curator Gérard Audinet conducted extensive research to reconstruct these lost environments, which were filled with eclectic objects, artworks by friends, and prestigious gifts.

Call for local artists to design cover of Guernsey Short Story Anthology

The Guernsey Literary Festival and Art for Guernsey are inviting local artists to submit cover designs for "Time & Tide," the Guernsey Short Story Anthology, a new publication celebrating writers connected to the Bailiwick. The competition is open to artwork of any medium inspired by the anthology's theme of personal memories, imagined futures, and island life rhythms. The anthology will be published by Blue Ormer and launched at the Guernsey Literary Festival from 24 April to 3 May 2026, with a submission deadline of 30 November 2025.

Guernsey Arts Open a growing showcase of local talent

Guernsey Arts has launched its sixth annual Guernsey Arts Open exhibition at the George Crossan Gallery, featuring a record 132 artworks from local artists of all skill levels. The show includes a wide range of media—oils, watercolours, ceramics, textiles, digital art, and even surfboards—and was curated by Jared Fox, the organization's visual design and communications coordinator. Guernsey Arts took over the gallery's lease in September 2024 and is now fully booked through 2026.
