British artist Lucy Sparrow has brought a new felted candy shop installation titled "Sugar Rush" to Art Miami, featuring hand-sewn and hand-painted confectionery treats like Snickers, Peppermint Patties, and Twix, priced at $50 each. The interactive project, presented by London's TW Projects, includes affordable items such as $5 jellybeans and a $10,000 case of Haribo gummies, continuing Sparrow's decade-long tradition of delighting Miami Art Week audiences with her playful felt sculptures. Sparrow's career breakthrough came in 2016 when her installation "Sparrow's Deli" was purchased by 21C Museum Hotels, and she has since created notable projects including a felt bodega in New York and a felt McDonald's in Miami.

Hong Kong’s art week is shifting from a post-pandemic recovery phase to a more exploratory period defined by innovative fringe events. A standout newcomer is the Central Yards Edible Art Fair, a 20,000-square-foot immersive experience at the Central Harbourfront that blends art history with culinary treats. The fair features ten zones themed after major movements like Impressionism and Surrealism, including a neo-pop installation where visitors can win jelly balloon dogs inspired by Jeff Koons.

Exhibition | Olivia Sterling, 'Jelly' at Dirimart Pera, Istanbul, Turkiye

Dirimart presents Olivia Sterling's first solo exhibition in Istanbul, titled 'Jelly,' at its Pera location from May 7 to June 14, 2026. The show explores themes of race, power, and desire through scenes involving food, the body, and stains, using fruit and dark colors as metaphors for consumption and objectification. Sterling's paintings incorporate letters that expose how race is constructed through language, while the title 'Jelly' evokes flexibility, fluidity, and a grotesque bodily quality that mirrors the instability of identity and social conventions.
