The Ashiya City Museum of Art & History is launching a special exhibition titled "The Tree of the Collection, the 36th Spring: Focusing on New Acquisitions" to celebrate its 36th anniversary. The exhibition showcases approximately 100 works, including paintings, prints, sculptures, and video art, highlighting pieces acquired since the beginning of the Reiwa era (2019) alongside the museum's founding collection. Featured artists include modern Western-style painter Narashige Koide, members of the Gutai Art Association such as Atsuko Tanaka and Jiro Yoshihara, and contemporary figures like Keiji Uematsu and Yukinori Yamamura.

Pinta Lima 2026, an art fair in Peru, has unveiled a Special Project curated by Florencia Portocarrero and Irene Gelfman, featuring five young Peruvian artists: Elizabeth Vásquez, Fátima Rodrigo, Pierina Másquez, Verovcha, and Yone Makino. The exhibition transforms the gallery into an immersive, habitable space where diverse works in textiles, ceramics, painting, and installation form a cohesive map of contemporary Peruvian art.

New cultural traditions with Open Art Lund

Open Art Lund has officially launched its inaugural month-long joint exhibition, a collaborative initiative between three local galleries: Gallery Cozmo, Studio Bantorget, and Kliger Gallery. The event debuted with a festive opening at the Kino bistro, marking the start of a diverse cultural program designed to fill the city's quiet late-winter season. From a pool of 700 applicants and nearly 2,500 submitted works, a jury selected 25 artists to showcase a variety of media, including paintings, sculptures, and film projections across the participating venues.
