New MassMu exhibit spotlights local artists

The Massillon Museum in Massillon, Ohio, has opened a new exhibition titled “Introducing Massillon Community Arts Council: Creativity within Community” in its Fred F. Silk Community Room Gallery. Running through September 13, 2026, the show features works by nine local artists—Bb Blandford, Bruce Budd, David L. Dingwell, Zach Finn, Errick Freeman, Israel Katina, Miranda Marsh, Ashley Palmer, and Jessica Wilhelm—who are founding members of the newly formed Massillon Community Arts Council. The council aims to foster art and culture in the community through murals, public art, and shared creative spaces, with a vision for an arts district called The QuARTer inspired by the New Orleans French Quarter.

MassMu to spotlight Akron artist's work

The Massillon Museum is currently hosting "Isabelle Crawford: Pure Potentiality," a solo exhibition in its Studio M space featuring paintings and drawings by the Akron-based artist. Crawford’s work explores the intersection of human connection and perception, reflecting her commitment to using art as a tool for community engagement and social change. The exhibition, which runs through April 26, will be supplemented by a featured interview with the artist on the museum’s "MassMusings" podcast.
