A room of their own

Mandapo, a new alternative art space, has opened in a hidden room behind an old staircase in Fort, Mumbai. Founded by artist Sujiet Podar, the space is located in Deval Chambers and aims to support emerging artists who struggle to find exhibition opportunities. The current exhibition, "The Echoes We Inherit," features works by artist Rounak Rai, with text by art writer Sushama Sabnis, and runs until 25 June.

The art of seeing differently

An exhibition titled ArtAbility in Mumbai showcases the work of neurodivergent artists, challenging conventional perceptions of art and artistry. The show features artists with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and dyslexia, presenting their work in a sophisticated gallery setting that emphasizes their unique perspectives and visual clarity.
