Galleria Dallas collaborates with local artist for an art exhibit to commemorate Juneteenth
Galleria Dallas is hosting an art exhibit titled "Freedom" featuring the work of Dallas-based painter Devon Deshaun in honor of Juneteenth. The exhibit, on display until July 27, includes pieces such as "Lovebirds" and "Sunflower" that celebrate cultural pride. Deshaun, a self-taught artist from Waco, developed a unique style called Pebbled Melanin, a variation of stippling. The shopping center also commissioned a T-shirt design from Deshaun, which will be distributed free on June 13, with the artist present for a meet and greet.
