Spring 2026 Exhibitions Opening Celebration

The Wexner Center for the Arts at Ohio State University has announced its Spring 2026 exhibitions lineup, featuring works by Vitória Cribb, Ximena Garrido-Lecca, Eric N. Mack, Hew Locke, and Naeem Mohaiemen. Highlights include Cribb's 'echoes of a wet finger,' commissioned by Sharjah Art Biennial 16 and Mercosul Biennial 14, and solo presentations by Garrido-Lecca, Mack, and Locke, as well as Mohaiemen's film and video works. The season is supported by a range of funders including the American Electric Power Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The announcement underscores the Wexner Center's role as a major platform for contemporary art, bringing internationally commissioned works to a Midwestern audience. The inclusion of artists with biennial pedigree and collaborative institutional partnerships (Yale Center for British Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston) signals the center's commitment to presenting ambitious, globally relevant exhibitions. The extensive list of public and private funders also highlights the continued importance of philanthropic and governmental support for free-admission arts programming in the United States.
