Beijing’s UCCA Announces New Guangzhou Outpost

Beijing's Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) will open a new museum, UCCA OneM Center for Contemporary Art, in Guangzhou in 2027. This marks the institution's first expansion into South China, created through a partnership with Guangzhou's existing OneM Center for Contemporary Art.

The expansion strengthens UCCA's national network and aims to foster dialogue within the contemporary art community of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It represents a significant institutional move to bring international perspectives and major exhibitions to a key southern economic and cultural hub, leveraging Guangzhou's energy and openness to reach new audiences.
