Christie’s has partnered with the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) to present 'The Meeting Ground: Scenes from the KNMA Collection,' a landmark exhibition in London showcasing the evolution of South Asian modern and contemporary art. Curated by Akansha Rastogi and a specialized curatorial team, the exhibition is organized into five thematic sections that explore complex narratives of migration, labor, memory, and the human body. The showcase features a diverse array of media, including painting, sculpture, and video, highlighting both established masters and emerging voices from the subcontinent.
This collaboration coincides with a period of significant expansion for KNMA, which was founded in 2010 as India’s first private museum for modern art. The institution is currently preparing to move into a massive new 100,000-square-meter facility near New Delhi’s international airport. By partnering with Christie’s for this international exhibition, KNMA continues its mission of situating South Asian artistic practices within a global dialogue and fostering scholarship through high-profile institutional collaborations.
