Saline County Creatives featured in Gann Museum’s ‘Salty Art’ exhibit through Aug 21st

The Gann Museum in Benton, Arkansas, has opened a new exhibition titled “Salty Art,” running from June 4 through August 21. The show features works by local Saline County artists including Dianne Roberts, Vanessa Scott, Shakeelah Rahmaan, Kara Redman, Taya Covey, Jo Helen Fletcher, Kim and Lorance Berry, and Rischalle and Rischaye Ellington, spanning mediums such as painting, illustration, and pottery. Admission is free, and the museum is open Thursday through Saturday.

This exhibition matters because it highlights the role of small regional museums in nurturing local creative communities and providing a platform for artists who may not otherwise have gallery exposure. By celebrating homegrown talent and encouraging public support, “Salty Art” reinforces the cultural value of grassroots arts initiatives and the importance of accessible, community-centered art spaces.
