Leonardo Drew Joins Hauser & Wirth for Worldwide Representation

Leonardo Drew, a prominent sculptor known for transforming materials like weathered wood and metal into sprawling installations, has joined Hauser & Wirth for worldwide representation. The gallery announced the news on Tuesday and will debut a new work by Drew, titled Number 451, at Art Basel later this month. His first solo exhibition with Hauser & Wirth is scheduled for fall 2027 in New York. Drew's work is held in major institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and Tate.

The move brings one of the most sought-after artists of his generation into the orbit of one of the world's largest galleries at a time when Drew's profile continues to grow, with recent major museum exhibitions and public projects such as City in the Grass in Madison Square Park. Hauser & Wirth president Marc Payot highlighted Drew's role in advancing abstraction alongside contemporaries like Mark Bradford, signaling the gallery's commitment to expanding his international audience. The announcement also acknowledges continued collaboration with Drew's previous representatives, Anthony Meier and Goodman Gallery.
