Multidisciplinary artist Trevor Paglen has been awarded the 2026 LG Guggenheim Award. The honor, established by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and LG, includes an unrestricted $100,000 grant and recognizes artists working at the intersection of art and technology.
The award validates Paglen's long-term, pioneering practice of investigating hidden technological and political systems, from digital photography to AI. It provides crucial funding for his resource-intensive research and development, while highlighting the growing institutional support for art that critically engages with technology's impact on society. Paglen will present a performance-lecture at the Guggenheim in May.
