Local artist Roz Davis is set to debut her solo exhibition, "Paintings of Whimsy," at the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital hall gallery in Damariscotta. Running from May 2 through June 28, the show features a collection of paintings and mixed media works that transform everyday subjects—such as donuts, candies, and footwear—into playful, narrative-driven compositions.
This exhibition highlights the ongoing trend of utilizing healthcare environments as alternative gallery spaces to bring art into the local community. By showcasing Davis’s graphic design-influenced aesthetic, the show aims to engage patients and visitors through accessible, nostalgic imagery while providing a platform for regional Maine artists to sell their work directly to the public.
