Musician Jack White is set to debut his first solo visual art exhibition, titled ‘These Thoughts May Disappear’, at Damien Hirst’s Newport Street Gallery in London. Running from May 29 to September 13, the show will feature a diverse array of mediums including sculpture, furniture design, and large-scale installations, many of which are constructed from reclaimed industrial materials and hardware remnants.
This exhibition marks a significant transition for the former White Stripes frontman, formalizing his long-standing practice in industrial design and upholstery within a high-profile contemporary art setting. By drawing on movements like Dada and De Stijl and exhibiting alongside Detroit artists Gordon Newton and Robert Sestok, White seeks to establish his credibility as a visual artist beyond his established musical legacy.
