Palazzo Citterio in Milan is reopening its lush courtyard garden as Citterio Garden for summer 2026, starting May 27, with extended hours from 9 AM to 10 PM. The garden bistro, adjacent to the Orto Botanico di Brera, introduces a partnership with St-Germain liqueur, transforming into a "Giardino St-Germain" with signature cocktails. A major new collaboration brings Michelin-starred chef Claudio Sadler to craft an elevated Italian menu, managed by AFM Banqueting under the Grande Brera institution. The museum also announces summer exhibitions, including a show on Giovanni Agostino da Lodi and neoclassical displays featuring the Canova collection from Banca Ifis and the Sommariva miniature collection.

Joplin’s Route 66 art project to feature 16 new 3D paintings

Joplin, Missouri is expanding its public art project along historic Route 66 with 16 new 3D paintings. Artists are creating two-dimensional works that produce three-dimensional optical illusions, building on existing pieces installed in 2024 and 2025 at the Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex and Schifferdecker Park. Two new images are already in place at 1717 West 7th Street, with 14 more artists installing their work from June 3 to June 5. A grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, June 6.

Drawing a crowd: Art Crawl, reception featured Saturday

Salisbury's downtown Art Crawl returns on May 30 from 5-7 p.m., featuring local art, artist demonstrations, exhibitions, music, and workshops at multiple locations. The event, spearheaded by Rachel Gunsch of Pottery 101, has grown to include over a dozen participating businesses such as Rowan Arts Council, Shug's, Fine Frame Gallery, and South Main Book Company. Pottery 101 will also host an Artist of the Month opening reception for potter Andy Smith. The crawl is now a monthly event held on the last Saturday, supported by the Downtown Salisbury Special Events Grant.

Exhibition in aid of countryside projects sees £10,000 worth of art sold

An art exhibition organized by CPRE Hampshire at the Amanda Aldous Fine Art Gallery near Basingstoke from May 15 to May 18 raised over £10,000 through art sales. The event featured works by Hampshire artists, including featured artist Sarah Capes, and included a sold-out private viewing. Proceeds support the charity's countryside protection projects, including the expansion of its Magnificent Meadows project into Andover and Basingstoke.
