Guntersville Museum Welcomes ARTS Works

The Guntersville Museum hosted a recognition ceremony for the 18th annual ARTS Works All-County Student Art Exhibit, organized by the nonprofit Artists Responding to Students (ARTS). The exhibit featured around 100 artworks from K-12 students across Marshall County, including Boaz, Grant, Guntersville, and Albertville. For the second year, the show included special needs artists, with the Kamryn HeART Award presented in memory of a young artist. Additionally, the Lakeview Community Civic Organization displayed posters from its Black History Month contest. Winners were announced across multiple grade categories, judged by two National Board Certified Teachers from Decatur.

Artist Jax Foster has launched Bowling Green’s Tiny Gallery, a miniature exhibition space located outside the Grounds for Thought cafe in downtown Bowling Green. The gallery officially opened on April 5 and features hand-crafted miniature works created by local artists, with the display rotating on a monthly basis to ensure a wide variety of community members can showcase their talent.

New TOOLSONG Gallery opens in renovated MadJax space

A new art exhibition space, TOOLSONG Gallery, has opened in downtown Muncie, Indiana, within the MadJax Maker Force creative hub. The gallery, located in a renovated former transformer shaft of a historic industrial building, launched with an inaugural exhibition titled "Untied: On Process, Drift, and Letting Go" by artist Kevin R. Klinger.

PHOTO GALLERY: End-of-year arts exhibition at LC

Lynden Christian High School held its second end-of-year art exhibition on May 6, showcasing work from roughly 160 students. The event in the student lounge featured live art demonstrations, student musical performances, short films from the filmmaking class, snacks, and an awards ceremony. Trophy winners were announced across categories including Outstanding Artist Awards for various levels, Outstanding Filmmaker Awards, Work Ethic Awards, Attitude Awards, and the LCHS Distinguished Artist Award, with Josie Hendricks winning both the Distinguished Artist Award and Best In Show for her piece "Valentine."
